Sacramento Theatre Company continues its season of Mystery, Music and Mayhem with Ruthless! - The Musical. In the spirit of last season's The Musical of Musicals - The Musical, Ruthless! is a story that proves, when it comes to show business, the key to success is Ruthlessness!

With book and lyrics by Joel Paley and music by Marvin Laird, Ruthless! is a hilarious send up of classic shows such as Gypsy, The Bad Seed, and All About Eve. Driven and talented 3rd grader Tina Denmark desperately wants to be the lead in her school play--see Ruthless! - The Musical to find out just how far Tina will go to land the part.

The role of Sylvia St. Croix is traditionally played by a man. STC's production will feature Michael RJ Campbell in this role. This is not the first time he has appeared on the STC stage in a dress. He also appeared as a female character in STC's production of Cinderella. He is joined by Andrea St. Clair as Judy Denmark (Tina's Mother), with Lauren Metzinger and Jillie Kate Randle alternating as the unstoppable Tina Denmark.

STC hosts a prologue 45 minutes before every performance giving audiences an opportunity to learn a little about the play, authors, and production history.

      I heard about Ruthless! The Musical from Sacramento365, and even got my tickets from them. I absolutely LOVED it!!! The cast did a fabulous job, and I was pleasantly surprised at how funny the show... Expand
