Arts Resource Links

San Juan Arts Community

The San Juan Arts Community website is an informational clearing house for everything artful and creative in and around the San Juan Unified School District. Its purpose is to connect and unify our community’s rich artful offerings. It highlights teachers, programs, schools, community partners, supportive businesses, events, awards and arts-worthy news. San Juan boasts 120 Visual And Performing Arts (VAPA) teachers, and a mission statement that advocates creativity, inspiration, and innovation for every student everyday. Our VAPA motto endures - San Juan: "Where Creativity goes to school!".

Please visit our website. In San Juan, Creativity is the new operating system.

Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission's Arts Education Resource Directory

Looking for arts learning activities for your school, organization or event?

The Arts Education Resource Directory is a searchable database of visual and performing artists and their arts education programs. It lists workshops, residencies, performances and field trips for all ages with contact information for booking the artists. All the teaching artists listed in the Directory have been screened for their experience and skills by the Arts Commission through a panel of regional working and teaching artists. You will see on their listings that they have been approved for either K-12 Arts or Community Arts, or both. Artists and listings are updated and added regularly.

The Council serves as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Placer County and also publishes a bimonthly arts magazine Perspectives . Its purpose is to create a forum for communication for artists and art organizations in Placer County and to increase awareness of activities and programs related to arts and culture in the area.
