Crest Theatre

The site that the Crest Theatre sits on has housed a theatre since 1912. In 1995, the Crest received a one million dollar restoration, bringing Sacramento's last picture palace back to its glittery 1940s appearance. The Crest boasts one of the most elegant settings Sacramento has to offer, featuring a fabulous gold leaf art deco interior.

Over the past ten years, the Crest has been a host to many different types of shows and events. It continues to host a program of classic and recent films, concerts, a variety of comedy shows, and community events. In addition, the Crest is frequently used for private events such as political fundraisers, receptions, movie screenings, conferences employee orientations, and weddings.

      06/15/12- 06/24/12	Sacramento French Film Festival Crest Theatre Sacramento French Film Festival Presented by Sacramento French Film Festival at Crest Theatre June 15-June 24, 2012 The Sacramento French Film Festival, an annual event held in June, celebrates the present as well as the rich history of French cinema featuring new releases and rarely seen classics. It is the only festival dedicated to French cinema in Northern California and one of only two on the West coast.
      07/13/12- 07/15/12	8th Annual Sacramento Japanese Film Festival Crest Theatre 8th Annual Sacramento Japanese Film Festival Presented by Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church (SJUMC) at Crest Theatre July 13-July 15, 2012 The Sacramento Japanese Film Festival began as a one day festival, Japanese Movies at the Crest, in 2005. In 2010 it grew to a three-day festival with five films. Come out this year to see what's in store.

Also performing: -The Motels -Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann Formerly of When In Rome -Bourgeois Tagg -Deon Estus -Gene Loves Jezebel
