A picture is worth a thousand words, but a visit to The Art Institute of California - Sacramento will let you really see what it’s like to pursue an education in the creative and applied arts. Established in 2007, The Art Institute of California - Sacramento is one of The Art Institutes, a system of more than 40 schools across North America that provides career-oriented education programs in design, media arts, fashion, and culinary.

The school occupies approximately 45,000 square feet, including classrooms, studios, laboratories, offices, student lounges, a library, and an exhibition gallery. Class size is limited to 35 students in lab sessions and 40 students in lecture sessions.

Sacramento's metropolitan population of over 2 million means that students have access to recreation and the arts. A former Gold Rush town, Sacramento is now the fourth largest city in California. In addition to state government, the city is a major transportation and commerce hub linking the east with California's coastal cities. It is also a major cultural hub, with playhouses, ballet, concert venues, and professional basketball teams.
