RCAF in Mictlán: 50th Anniversary of Día de los Muertos

The Sacramento History Museum is partnering with La Raza Galeria Posada (LRGP) for a special exhibit. RCAF in Mictlán highlights public programs that document and celebrate the 50-year history of the Día de los Muertos observance in Sacramento.

A journey through life, love, and death, Recuerdos Ilustrados: Día de los Muertos 2025 features contemporary altars and artwork by artists from Southern California and the Central Valley. This year’s exhibit features the work of printmaking artists Álvaro D. Márquez, Stephanie Mercado, and Daniel Villa, whose altars will be centered around the topic of immigration.
