Sacramento Community Climate Action Day

Together with California Volunteers, Office of the Governor and the California Climate Action Corps we’re taking meaningful action to support local projects that strengthen neighborhoods, protect green spaces and help prepare communities for wildfires, extreme heat and other natural disasters.

Join us at one of four sites across Sacramento to learn about and help to promote local wildfire resilience! Locations include the Sac State CapRadio Garden, Ninos Community Garden, Camp Pollock and Bushy Lake.

Volunteers will support invasive plant removal, native species planting, and mulching all while learning about how it relates to climate and wildfire resilience.

This is a hands-on, active, family-friendly, educational and social event. All are welcome and nobody will be asked to do work that is out of their limitations.

After the work is done, volunteers will have FREE lunch provided!
