Sacramento Java Users Group (SacJUG)

The Sacramento Java User Group (SacJUG) meets every month to discuss and discover new technologies that involve Java and other electronic information systems. The group has been meeting every month since Java was released to the public back in 1996. We are a volunteer group and the meetings are free to the public. The hard work of its members and support of its sponsors are the back bone of the group’s success and longevity. We recognize and appreciate those who have shared informative presentations and insightful discussion with the group. It is those members and guests who help make our meetings more enjoyable, exciting, and informative. Java is the language we speak and Java is the language we love!

Local members and Java Gurus present new topics about Java technologies each month. Previous topics have included: Java Cabinet Library, Pulse Pen, Wicket, Enterprise Security API, The GradeBook, Web 2.0, JNLP, Flex, Yourkit, Google Web Toolkit, Java Performance Tuning, The Andi Database Query Tool, Git, Spring Security, Domain-Specific Language, Spring Roo, Apache Camel, and ANTLR.

The group is 100% volunteer with no member fees. If you’re starting out then you’ll find no better group in Sacramento that will move you forward in Java skills and technological understanding. If you’re a Java expert then bring your knowledge to the group and share with others. The meeting format is casual and informal. We meet at a local restaurant after the meeting for more "serious" talk.
